Smile & Joy Ride Brompton in Bangkok 2025
 

Have you all known that Thailand will be holding an event for Brompton gathering on November 22-23, 2025?
Purpose of the event:
To gather and meet up with members who use Brompton bicycles.
Promote and encourage people to exercise and use bicycles for travelling to reduce air pollution on the road.


We will have Brompton members in Thailand and from many countries in Asia coming to join and exchange their experiences in using Brompton bicycles. Have fun together with a cycling tour to explore the beautiful landmarks of Bangkok also playing various games on the stage. You may excite to see the beautiful Brompton bikes and get some ideas how to customize your Brompton! During the event there are awards for the competition and competing activities for:
1. The group with the most registered members, including both Thais and foreigners
2. Best dressed with Brompton - dressed up in full outfits with your favorite bike!.
3. Brompton balancing competition
4. Dragging a Vincita bike bag competition (separates genders)
5. Fast Folding Bike competition
And many more activities, get ready to win over 100 prizes and everyone who registers to join the event will have a chance to win A brand new Brompton bicycle!
 
For the cycling route, you can see Bangkok’s important landmarks and beautiful spots such as Yaowarat, Wat Phra Kaew and Sanam Luang. Taking a group photo together, we will have a record for taking the most group photos of Brompton bike with the view of Wat Phra Kaew in Thailand. Don't miss it!
 


Agenda
Saturday:
Lan Khon Muang, Bangkok City Hall
12.00pm - 18.00pm : Registration to receive shirts and souvenirs.
 
Sunday:
There is a cycling tour to see important landmarks in Bangkok. There will be a group photo along the way at Wat Phra Kaew (the route around 10 km. waiting to survey)
 
5.00 am: Staff members gathering at the event location. There will be some snacks and water for the participants. MC starts to introduce the route and the activities of the event.
 
7.00 am: Release the bicycle procession to ride along the route using the left lane. There will be staffs taking care throughout the procession.
 
9.00 am: All processions reach the Finish point, then starting the activities on the stage.
- The chairman gives an opening speech and announces the objectives of this event.
- Introducing bicycle alliance and discusses how to use the bicycles for travelling in Bangkok to reduce air pollution.
 
10.00 am: Starting group activities, introducing group supporter and co-organizers, play various games, lucky draws, and talk to people who use bicycles to commute to work in their daily routine. All activities will end no later than 14.00, before the closing event there will be announced the lucky winner for a Brompton bicycle! The event will end with a closing speech.
 
Plan: Promote to fold their bicycles and taking public transportation to the event or start cycling from home to the event on a safe route. For those who travelling by BTS/MRT, please fold your bicycle and take the train to the closest point of the event location, there will be volunteers who will meet and guide you to the event.
 
Food: A map will be created to recommend community restaurants in the nearby areas, what kind of food they offer, halal food, and also tourist attractions in that area.
