SHIMANO BLUE RACE 2023

Shimano Blue Race 2023 is a Gran Fondo cycling event with this year new venue at Chumphon province. You will find yourself exploring the unseen route of Chumphon province with both flat and less hilly path. Our purpose is for our event to be a road bike event that is safe, fun, and challenging for all of you. We welcome all brand of drivetrains and bikes. Our event is not a serious competitive event but we want you to challenge yourself and to have fun. Highlights for this year route include oil palm plantations, rubber plantation, coconut farm, and also the view point of Bangberd Beach and sand dune.

This year our event will be held on the 11th-12th March 2023.

Shimano Blue Race 2023 will take place at Map Ammarit, Chumphon.
Riders will pick up the ride pack on 11/03/2023 at Chumphon Map Ammarit School, Chumphon.
On the registration day, there will be Shimano Expo, Lazer Helmets booth, Shimano Neutral Service, and many more.

 

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

Event Date: 11th-12th March 2023 (Ride pack pick up on the 11th March 2023, Ride Day on the 12th March 2023)
Registration fees: 900 THB (The detail for other registration options is on the next page)
Maximum Capacity:  800 riders
Type : All-Round (All bike that have brakes installed are allowed except TT , Tri , Fixed gear bike). We are open to any brand of bikes and any brand of drivetrains.
Registration period : 6 December 2022 until 31 January 2022 or CLOSE when reached maximum capacity.

Route Map

Route A : 117km (Blue Race)
For Shimano Blue Race 2023, Route A is a Gran Fondo ride. This route will challenge you physically and mentally. Along the route you will ride through the beautiful nature of Chumphon province, the beautiful view point of Bangberd beach that you can pause your ride and absorb the view. On Route A, you will ride on flat course and a many slopes section. 

 Come to prove and touch the atmosphere for yourself.

 For Route A, there will be only one male and female 1st place winner. The purpose of Shimano Blue Race 2023 is not a competitive event, but there will be an award only to the 1st place winner in both categories. We put safety first for everyone, and every rider compete with himself/herself not with other riders.  Shimano Blue Race is an event whether you are slow or fast, a beginner or a pro you will enjoy and don’t worry about speed just keep pedaling.

Flag-off time : 7 AM
Cut-Off time : 1 PM

Route B : 72km (ฺBlue Ride)
For Shimano Blue Race 2023, Route B’s route is the same as route A until the 59.5 km where the split begins. This route is suitable for all riders of all ages that would like to have a new cycling experience cycling with shorter distance.

 For Route B, there will be no winner prize like Route A.

 Flag-off time : 7.10 AM
Cut-Off time : 12 PM

1st Overall LADY: Shimano Yuri 2022 Jersey / Shimano Yuri Bib Short 2022 and the winner souvenir I total prize value 11,300 baht

 ** Safety is our priority for all riders. We encourage cyclists to enjoy and challenge themselves. We don’t want to see a serious competition among cyclists.  This is why this year our Shimano Blue Race will not have 1-10 ranking. Therefore, we will only award 1st prize for the winner of both categories.

 

 

Event Expo
On the registration day (11th March 2023) there will be a Shimano Neutral Service booth where you can bring your bike for the final check for free. Also, there will be Shimano Expo , Shimano Di2 12 Speed Test Ride and other products showcased for you to enjoy during the day which include Lazer Helmets booth, Schwalbe Tire and Cateye Light/Computer.
